I became engaged about 20 years ago and began looking for a dress. I knew I wanted something unique, but I wasn’t straight sized, and I'm mature. Going to bridal shops was such a disappointment; there was so much about the experience that just didn't personally work for me. I finally decided to have my own dress custom-made and was happy with the results. But in the process I decided that there was a need for something different; vintage, sustainable, fair labor, and of course stunning- so I began collecting vintage dresses and committed to opening a boutique that would offer brides the largest collection of vintage wedding gowns anywhere, featuring couture redesign and custom fit. Over time, I have stepped back into my preferred role of curation (I find all the gowns and bring them into the studio!), a better fit for my introverted self. My extroverted daughter, Nikolina, has taken over the front face of our studio, meeting with every client and consulting on redesign, utilizing her vast experience with vintage/historical fashion and garment construction.

Our mission is to provide a relaxed, fun, concierge shopping experience for our customers. We show gowns by appointment only so that we can devote time to our brides without pressure or distractions.
